Walking

Most of us will commit to walking to exercise our bodies in the new year.
We want to slim down and shape up, that is one of the first new year’s
resolutions most individuals make. The apostle Paul continues, in the epistles,
to encourage us to walk strong with God! I was reminded of this when reading
1 Thessalonians 4:1-28(KJV).

Spiritual walking with God should be a daily exercise. It is easy to add God
to our lives daily, you can start by adding just one verse a day. As most
people get out of bed they will begin stretching exercises, your spiritual
stretch could be reading one verse!

1 Thessalonians 3:11(KJV), starts, “furthermore, God himself and our
father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way onto you. And the Lord make you increase in abounding love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do towards you; to the end, He may establish your hearts unblameably in holiness before God, even our father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his secrets. (1 Thessalonians 4:1(KJV)) furthermore, then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort ye by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God so that you would abound more and more.

Just as physical walking exercises the body to become healthier and
healthier, exercising scripture within your mind and heart daily helps you to
receive new revelations in God. You find encouragement when needed, you find
direction and wisdom in the trials and tribulations of life, and you find
deliverance from man’s thinking into a God mindset!

I pray that you exercise your right to read scripture in order that you may grow greatly in God’s way of helping us to prosper spiritually!
